Warden Station

Overview

Service Update – December 17, 2025

Warden Station is now AODA accessible with two new elevators in service.

  • Passenger Pick-Up/Drop-Off Street Level to Station Concourse
  • Station Concourse to Subway Platform Level

Construction continues on a new permanent accessible bus terminal, scheduled for completion in 2027. The current temporary bus loop remains accessible, outdoors and on-street.

Planned Elevator Closure:

In Q1 2026, both elevators will be out of service for approximately 4 weeks to replace glass panels. Advance notice will be provided. Customers are encouraged to subscribe to TTC e-updates for the latest information by contacting Arjun Sahota, Manager, Community and Stakeholder Relations, arjun.sahota@ttc.ca.

Effective January 5, 2025: The bus terminal at Warden Station has been permanently closed to accommodate demolition, and construction of a new, modern terminal connecting customers between the Passenger Pick Up/Drop Off area (PPUDO), concourse level and subway platform, and improved signage and wayfinding. The new permanent accessible bus terminal is scheduled to be open to customers by the end of 2027.

The south commuter parking lot has been converted into a temporary bus terminal and four bus stops will be installed outside the station on Warden Avenue. Fencing and signage is installed to guide customers from the on-street stops to the station entrance – approximately 250m or a three-minute walk to/from the furthest stop. More information regarding bus bay relocations and changes beginning in January 2025 are available here.

Background

The TTC’s Easier Access Program is making subway stations accessible. Construction at Warden Station is scheduled for completion by the end of 2027.

As part of the TTC's Easier Access program, which is systematically renovating nearly every subway station across the city to design for universal accessibility and enhanced pedestrian access, Warden station is slated to be completely rebuilt, with an entirely new bus terminal featuring plenty of natural light and more accessible platforms, which includes elevators.

In addition to the Easier Access enhancements, which will systematically renovate Warden Station for universal accessibility and enhanced pedestrian access, Warden Station is slated to be completely rebuilt, with an entirely new bus terminal featuring plenty of natural light and more accessible platforms, and elevators with a scheduled completion by the end of 2027.

Warden Station Easier Access improvements will include:

  • Two new elevators which will connect customers between the Passenger Pick Up/Drop Off area (PPUDO), concourse level and subway platform at the station.
  • Improved signage and wayfinding.
  • A station redevelopment which will involve constructing a temporary accessible bus terminal and a new permanent accessible bus terminal once completed.
