Line 1 first train start time adjustments

New schedule on weekends and holidays

The start times for the first train at some stations on Line 1 Yonge-University have been adjusted temporarily, and are running on a new schedule on weekends and holidays.

We've had to adjust how trains pull out of the subway yard to accommodate Yonge North Subway Extension construction at Finch Station and changes to service levels. This means that while the first trains leaving Vaughan and Finch in the morning are unchanged, the first trains elsewhere were affected. Some of these trips will be restored mid-June as construction wraps up. Until then, trains will arrive to 20 minutes later on Saturdays, 24 minutes later on Sundays and up to 35 minutes later on holidays. Regular bus service will be operating along Yonge Street as per the 97 Yonge route schedule. Frequent bus service will be operating along Yonge Street as per the 320 Yonge schedule.

Here are the changes you can expect:

Saturdays

  • Sheppard West Station to Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station – up to three minutes later
  • Wilson Station to St Clair West Station – up to 11 minutes later
  • St Clair West Station to Union Station – up to eight minutes later
  • Union Station to Eglinton Station – up to 20 minutes later

Sundays

  • Wilson Station to Eglinton Station – up to 24 minutes later

Holidays

  • Wilson Station to St Clair West Station – up to 11 minutes later
  • Eglinton Station to Finch Station – up to 12 minutes later
  • St Clair West Station to Union Station – up to 17 minutes later
  • Bloor Station to Eglinton Station – up to 35 minutes later
