Weekend service changes


Friday, July 25 to Sunday, July 27, 2025

Sports, classic cars, streetfests and more – get the most from your weekend in the city, and use the TTC to take you there!

  • Subway closures

    Line 1

    Full weekend closure – St George to St Andrew stations – Friday, July 25 at 11 p.m. to end of service Sunday, July 27

    Subway service on Line 1 between St George and St Andrew stations will be replaced by shuttle buses on Friday, July 25 starting at 11 p.m. until the end of service at approximately 2 a.m.

    There will be no subway service on Line 1 between St George and St Andrew stations on Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27 for planned station work. Important note: Shuttle buses will NOT be operating between St George and St Andrew on Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27.

    Museum, Queen’s Park, St Patrick and Osgoode stations will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase or load a PRESTO card, PRESTO Ticket and connect to surface routes.

    Here are alternative surface and subway routes for customers to connect to Line 1*:

    Take Line 2 to Bloor-Yonge Station to connect to Line 1 to St Andrew Station.

    Queen’s Park Station – Take a 506 Carlton streetcar eastbound to College Station.

    94 Wellesley – The 94 Wellesley bus connects to Wellesley Station. This route operates between Ossington and Castle Frank stations.

    St Patrick Station – Take a 505 Dundas streetcar eastbound to Dundas Station.

    Osgoode Station – Take a 501 Queen streetcar eastbound to Yonge St and Adelaide St West. From there, you have two options:

    • Option 1: Walk for approximately two minutes south to King Station.
    • Option 2: Walk approximately five minutes north to Queen Station.

    *With the exception of College Station, all of the stations listed above are accessible.

    Regular service will resume on Line 1 on Monday, July 28.

    Line 2

    Full day closure – Kipling and Keele Stations – Saturday, July 26

    Subway service on Line 2 between Kipling and Keele stations will be replaced by shuttle buses on Saturday, July 26, until the end of service at approximately 2 a.m., for planned work. TTC staff will be available to assist customers.

    Runnymede and High Park stations will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase or load a PRESTO card, PRESTO Ticket and connect to surface routes.

    Extra Wheel-Trans buses will operate for any customer requiring assistance. Customers can also take the 149 Etobicoke-Bloor Accessibility Shuttle buses which operate between Kipling and High Park stations.

    Regular subway service will resume between Kipling and Keele stations on Sunday, July 27.

    Late Opening – St George to Broadview – Sunday, July 27

    Subway service on Line 2 between St George and Broadview stations will be replaced by shuttle buses shuttle buses between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. for structural maintenance. Subway service will start by 11 a.m.

    TTC staff will be available to assist customers. Wheel-Trans service will be available for any customer requiring assistance.

    Bay and Sherbourne stations will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase or load a PRESTO card, PRESTO Ticket and connect to surface routes.

    Line 2 customers wishing to travel downtown can take the following surface routes from the accessible subway stations listed below:

    Dundas West Station – Board a 504 King streetcar or a 505 Dundas streetcar eastbound towards Broadview Station.

    Bathurst Station – Board a 511 Bathurst streetcar southbound towards Exhibition.

    Spadina Station – Customers can board a Line 1 train or a 510 Spadina streetcar southbound towards Union Station.

    Broadview Station – Board a 504 King streetcar or a 505 Dundas streetcar westbound towards Dundas West Station.

    Customers can also board a shuttle bus eastbound from St George Station or westbound from Broadview Station to connect with subway service on Line 1 at Bloor-Yonge Station.

    A note to customers: While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the end of service each night, it continues to require early weeknight and weekend closures to complete state-of-good-repair work.

  • Bus and streetcar service changes

    Please note the temporary diversions to the following routes to accommodate weekend activities:

    64 Main / 501 Queen temporary diversions for Beaches Jazz Festival – July 24 to 26 from 6 p.m. to midnight

    64 Main buses will divert northbound, south on Wineva Avenue, west on Alfresco Lawn, north on Lee Avenue, east on Williamson Road and north on Southwood Drive, to regular route.

    501 Queen streetcars will turn back west from Kingston Road and Queen Street East (Kingston Loop).

    63/163 Ossington temporary diversion for OssFest – July 26 5:30 a.m. to July 27 4:30 a.m.

    63/163 Ossington buses will divert for OssFest:

    Southbound: from Ossington Avenue, east on Dundas Street West, south on Bathurst Street, west on Queen Street West and south on Shaw Street, to regular route.

    Northbound: from Shaw Street, west on Queen Street West, north on Dufferin Street, east on Dundas Street West and north on Ossington Avenue, to regular route.

    34 Eglinton West temporary diversion for Dream Wheels on Eglinton – July 26, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

    32 Eglinton West buses will divert both ways on Chaplin Crescent and Avenue Road.

  • Weekend Events Friday, July 25 to Sunday, July 27 

    ATP National Bank Open – July 26 to August 7
    Sobeys Stadium, 1 Shoreham Drive, North York

    Beaches Jazz Festival
    Various events throughout July

    Celebrate music and the Beaches community with internationally acclaimed jazz performers and local talent.

    Streetfest: July 24 to 26 – 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

    Queen Street East from Woodbine Avenue to Beech Avenue is closed nightly, transforming into a free St festival with music, food, vendors and more!

    The TTC can take you to the heart of the action:

    • Option 1: Take Line 2 Woodbine Station. From there, take a 92 Woodbine South bus to Woodbine Avenue at Queen Street East, and you’re steps away from the festival.
    • Option 2: Take Line 2 to Main Street Station. From there, take a southbound 64 Main bus to Wineva Avenue at Queen Street East, and you’re steps away from the festival.
    • Option 3: Take an eastbound 501 Queen streetcar to Kingston Road and Queen Street East (Kingston Loop) and you’re steps away from the festival.

    Please note: the 64 Main bus and 501 Queen streetcar will be diverted nightly from July 24 to July 26 between 6 p.m. and midnight to accommodate the event.

    OLG Weekend Series: July 25 to 27
    Woodbine Park, 1675 Lake Shore Boulevard East

    • Friday, July 25: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
    • Saturday, July 26: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
    • Sunday, July 27: beginning at 1:00 p.m.

    Here are a few ways the TTC can take you there:

    • Option 1: Take a 501 Queen streetcar to Queen Street East at Woodbine Avenue. From there, it’s approximately a 7-minute walk to the park.
    • Option 2: Take Line 2 to Woodbine Station. From there, take a 92 Woodbine South bus and exit at 1816 Lake Shore Boulevard East. From there, it’s approximately a 4-minute walk to the park.
    • Option 3: Take Line 2 to Coxwell Station. From there, take a 22 Coxwell South bus and exit at Queen St East and Kingston Road. From there, it’s approximately a 15-minute walk to the park.

    Dream in High Park – “Romeo & Juliet”: now until August 31
    High Park Amphitheatre, 1873 Bloor St West

    Dream in High Park returns for its 2025 summer run. Grab your family, pack a picnic and enjoy the production of the ever-popular “Romeo & Juliet.”

    Nightly start times at 7:00 or 8:00 p.m., outdoor venue, weather permitting, running until August 31, 2025.

    Want to attend the show? The TTC can take you there!

    • Option 1: Take Line 2 to High Park Station. From the main entrance, walk west to High Park Ave, then walk south to the lights at Bloor Street West and High Park Avenue. Continue through the lights, staying on the sidewalk to the left on Colborne Lodge Drive. Follow signage to get to the amphitheatre. In total, it is an approximately 20-minute walk to the amphitheatre from the station.
    • Option 2: Take the 501 Queen streetcar to the stop at the south side of High Park on The Queensway at Colborne Lodge Drive. From there, walk along Colborne Lodge Drive to the intersection at Centre Road where you will see the path to the amphitheatre.
    • Option 3: On Saturday and Sunday, the 203 High Park seasonal bus route will operate from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. between High Park Station and Colborne Lodge Drive. The last stop on the route is Colborne Lodge Drive at Centre Road where you will see the path to the amphitheatre.

    Union Summer: various events throughout the summer
    Union Station, 65 Front St West

    Union Summer presented by TD returns to the plaza in front of Union Station from June 25 – August 10 with 47 days of free indoor and outdoor experiences featuring dynamic music, exhibitions, live performances, curated food vendors, plus beat-the-heat beverages and desserts, all to celebrate summer in the city. Gather, connect and experience the food, concerts and a whole lot more, just outside Union Station.

    • Option 1: Take Line 1 to Union Station, exit to the south side of Front Street West and the stage is a short distance from there.
    • Option 2: Take the 510A Spadina streetcar to the stop at Union Station.
    • Option 3: Take the 504C or 504D King replacement bus to St Andrew Station. From there, it’s about a 7-minute walk south to Union Station.
    • Option 4: Take a southbound 19 Bay bus to Front Street West at Bay Street. From there, it’s about a 3-minute walk west to Union Station.
  • Friday July 25 

    Barenaked Ladies – 7 p.m.
    Budweiser Stage, 909 Lakeshore Blvd West

    Heading to see the Ladies in concert? Here are two ways the TTC can take you there:

    • Option 1: Take Line 2 to Bathurst Station. From there, take a southbound 511 Bathurst streetcar to Exhibition Loop. Exit at Exhibition Loop, then follow directional signage to Budweiser Stage.
    • Option 2: Take Line 1 to Union Station. From there take a westbound 509 Harbourfront streetcar to Exhibition Loop. Exit at Exhibition Loop, then follow directional signage to Budweiser Stage.

    Yatra Canada – 7 p.m.
    Queen Elizabeth Theatre, 190 Princes’ Blvd Toronto, ON M6K 3C3

    Heading to the show? The TTC can take you there!

    • Option 1: Take Line 2 to Bathurst Station. From there, take a southbound 511 Bathurst streetcar to Exhibition Loop. Exit at Exhibition Loop, then follow directional signage to Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
    • Option 2: Take Line 1 to Union Station. From there, take a westbound 509 Harbourfront streetcar towards Exhibition Loop. Exit at Exhibition Loop, then follow directional signage to Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
    • Option 3: Take Line 2 to Ossington Station. From there, take a 63 Ossington bus southbound towards Liberty Village and exit at Strachan Avenue at East Liberty Street. From there, it’s approximately a 15-minute walk to Queen Elizabeth Theatre at Exhibition Place.
  • Saturday July 26 

    Toronto Triathlon Festival - 7:20 a.m.
    Bandshell Park Exhibition Place, 100 Prince Edward Island Crescent

    Rush hour – redefined. Triathlon takes over Toronto, with races for elites to first-timers. For information visit the Triathlon Festival website.

    Whether you’re participating or watching the action the TTC can take you there! Your best transit options depend on the time you wish to arrive.

    Harbourfront Farmers Market – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    The Commons at Harbourfront Centre, 235 Queens Quay West

    Enjoy seasonal produce, meats and products with Ontario's farmers and small-batch producers at the Harbourfront Farmers Market Saturday until September 27.

    For those heading to the Farmers Market, here a few ways the TTC can take you there:

    • Option 1: Take Line 1 to Union Station. From there, take a 510 Spadina streetcar and exit at Queens Quay West and Harbourfront Centre. It is an approximately 1-minute walk to the venue from the stop.
    • Option 2: Take Line 2 to Spadina Station. From there, take a 510 Spadina streetcar and exit at Queens Quay West and Harbourfront Centre. It is an approximately 1-minute walk to the venue from the stop.
    • Option 3: From St Andrew Station, it’s a 15-minute walk south to the venue.

    AlohaFest Toronto – 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    Mel Lastman Square, 5100 Yonge Street

    Hula your way to the Aloha spirit with this showcase of Polynesian culture, art, and dance.

    The TTC can take you there! To get to the event, take Line 1 to North York Centre Station. From there, it is approximately a 3-minute walk to the venue.

    Dream Wheels on Eglinton – 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    Your chance to see the vehicle of your dreams, at this unforgettable vintage car and motorcycle festival Eglinton Ave West. Live music, family-friendly activities, food, and shopping experiences.

    • Option 1: Take Line 1 to Davisville Station. From there, board a westbound 14 Glencairn bus to the stop at Chaplin Crescent at Eglinton Avenue West, and your steps away from the event.
    • Option 2: Take Line 1 to Eglinton Station. From there, board a westbound 32 Eglinton West bus to the stop at Eglinton Avenue West at Heddington Avenue and you’re right at the event.
    • Option 3: From Eglinton West Station, take an eastbound 32 Eglinton West bus towards Eglinton Station. Exit at the stop at the stop at Eglinton Avenue West at Heddington Avenue and you’re right at the event.

    Please note: 32 Eglinton West buses will divert both ways on Chaplin Crescent and Avenue Road on July 26 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. to accommodate the event.

    OssFest – 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
    Ossington Avenue between Dundas Street West and Queen Street West

    The city comes together to meet at OssFest. With over 25 extended patios, music, entertainment and activities throughout the day. Don’t miss the action!

    Here’s a few ways the TTC can take you there:

    • Option 1: Take Line 1 to Queen Station, then board a westbound 501 Queen streetcar to the stop at Queen Street West and Ossington Avenue.
    • Option 2: Take Line 2 to Ossington Station. From there, board a 63 Ossington bus heading south, and exit at the stop at the corner of Ossington Avenue at Dundas Street West.

    Please note: The 63 Ossington bus and 363 Ossington Night Bus will divert both ways from July 26 at 5:30 a.m. to July 27 at 4:30 a.m. to accommodate the event.

    Summer Live Music Festival – 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
    Trillium Park, 955 Lake Shore Blvd W

    From a capella to jazz, high-energy DJs to soulful harmonies – there’s something for all music lovers at this free event!

    • Option 2: Take Line 2 to Spadina Station. From there, take a 510 Spadina streetcar and exit at Queens Quay West and Harbourfront Centre. It is an approximately 1-minute walk to the venue from the stop.
    • Option 3: From St Andrew Station, it’s a 15-minute walk south to the venue.

    Toronto Argonauts vs. Winnipeg Blue Bombers – 7 p.m.

    • Option 2: Take Line 1 to Union Station. From there, take a westbound 509 Harbourfront streetcar towards Exhibition Loop. Exit at Exhibition Loop, then follow directional signage to BMO Field.

    Gracie Adams: The Secret of Us Deluxe Tour with Djo – 7:30 p.m.

  • Sunday July 27 

    Indigenous Sounds Now – 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
    Trillium Park, 955 Lake Shore Boulevard W

    A fusion of Indigenous culture with pop, blues, roots, and rock featuring a diverse line-up of Indigenous musicians and JUNO Award nominees.

    • Option 2: Take Line 1 to Union Station. From there, take a westbound 510 Spadina streetcar from Union Station to Exhibition Loop. From there, follow directional signage to Trillium Park, east of Budweiser Stage.

    The Weeknd – After Hours Til Dawn – 7 p.m.
    Rogers Centre, 1 Blue Jays Way

    Heading to the concert? The TTC can take you there!

    • Option 1: Take Line 1 to Union Station. From there, exit the station and walk west along the south side of Front Street West to Rogers Centre. Alternatively, you can take the SkyWalk indoor path connecting Union Station to the CN Tower and Rogers Centre.
    • Option 2: If you are travelling on bus or streetcar routes in the downtown core, the 510 Spadina, 19 Bay, 97 Yonge, 114 Queens Quay East and 121 Esplanade-River routes will get you to and from the venue.

    Cyndi Lauper: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour – 7:30 p.m.

    For those attending the concert, here are two ways the TTC can take you there:

    • Option 1: Take Line 2 to Bathurst Station. From there, take a southbound 511 Bathurst streetcar to Exhibition Loop. Exit at Exhibition Loop, then follow directional signage to Budweiser Stage.

    Christie Pits Film Festival – “Past Lives” (sundown)
    Christie Pits Park, 750 Bloor St West

    Bring your blankets and chairs and gather together to sit on the berms at Christie Pits park and enjoy movies after dark Sunday from July 6 to August 24.

    Concessions open at 6 p.m., showtime starts at sundown.
