No subway service on a portion of TTC Line 1 this weekend

This weekend, Sat., Feb. 29 and Sun., Mar. 1, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 between Finch and Sheppard-Yonge stations due to track work.

Replacement shuttle buses will run between the three affected stations. At Finch and Sheppard-Yonge stations, shuttle buses will board and offload in the station bus bays. At North York Centre Station, shuttle buses will board and offload on Yonge St. In addition to shuttles, the 97 Yonge bus and the University side of Line 1 will be available as alternatives during the closure.

North York Centre Station will be closed, but Finch and Sheppard-Yonge stations will remain open for fare sales, access to surface routes and Line 4.

Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station throughout the closure. Customers can speak with any TTC customer service employee for more information about service frequency.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and ATC upgrades.

The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service and about alternative routes. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on Twitter or sign up for eAlerts.
