TTC celebrates opening of new Coxwell Station elevator tomorrow

Tomorrow, TTC Chair Josh Colle will join Ward 31 Councillor Janet Davis, Acting TTC CEO Rick Leary and Raymond Dell’Aera, Chair of the TTC’s Advisory Committee on Accessible Transit, to officially celebrate the completion of accessibility upgrades at Coxwell Station, the 44th fully accessible TTC subway station.

Date: Thurs., Mar. 1, 2018
Time: 1 p.m.

Family of Services is a part of the Wheel-Trans 10-Year Strategy that aims to transform the accessible public transit services that are delivered to customers with disabilities. The TTC has committed to becoming fully accessible by 2025 under its Easier Access Program.

Five other stations are under construction for further accessibility: Dupont, Royal York, St Patrick, Wellesley and Yorkdale.
