TTC service adjustments during TIFF


From Sept. 7-10, the TTC's 504 King and 514 Cherry streetcar routes will divert around a road closure on King St. as Toronto welcomes the world to the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

Routes will operate as follows:

  • 504 King streetcar service will divert eastbound via Queen St. between Spadina Ave. and Church St. and westbound between Spadina Ave. and York St.
  • 504 King rush hour weekday bus service will divert between Spadina and University Aves. via Richmond and Adelaide Sts.
  • 514 Cherry/304 King (night) service will divert via Richmond and Adelaide Sts. eastbound between Spadina Ave. and Church St. and westbound between York St. and Spadina Ave.
  • 304 King shuttle bus service will be available from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. and operate between Parliament St. and Bathurst Ave.

The TTC will have identifiable customer service staff positioned at key locations to assist customers and provide information about transit options around the festival.

To ensure customers are aware of changes to their routes, the TTC and City of Toronto are communicating through a number of channels.

As well as web-based communications and social media channels, paid advertising and notices will be distributed along King St. Station signage detailing the transit service changes is in place at King, Queen, St Andrew, Osgoode, Dundas West, Broadview and Union subway stations.
