TTC track and signal work on Line 3 this weekend

Line 2 opening late on Sunday

This weekend, June 25-26, track and signal work on Line 3 Scarborough will require the entire line, from Kennedy to McCowan stations, to close. Shuttle buses will operate, stopping only at stations along the route.

Periodic weekend closures are required as the TTC undertakes a complete life-extension rehabilitation of the tracks and vehicles on Line 3 to provide a more reliable and comfortable service over the next 10 years. The line will be decommissioned following the opening of the Scarborough Subway Extension.

Wheel-Trans will be available at Kennedy and Scarborough Centre stations for customers requiring an accessible connection. Customers can speak with any TTC staff member to request the service.

Midland, Ellesmere and McCowan stations will be closed. All other stations will remain open for the sale of fare media.

Regular service resumes Monday morning at 6 a.m.

Line 2 Bloor-Danforth

This Sunday, June 26, the section of Line 2 between St George and Pape stations will open at 10 a.m. (rather than the regular 8 a.m. Sunday start time) as the TTC undertakes work on the Prince Edward (Bloor) Viaduct.

Shuttle buses will operate on Danforth Ave. and Bloor St., stopping only at subway stations along the route. Wheel-Trans buses will be available for customers requiring an accessible connection. Customers can speak with any TTC staff member to request the service.

The later opening gives TTC crews additional time to complete crucial track maintenance and upgrades on the viaduct.

The next scheduled subway closures are as follows:

• Line 2 Bloor-Danforth - Broadview to Main Street closure on July 9
• Line 4 Sheppard - Sheppard-Yonge to Bayview closure on July 16-17
• Line 2 Bloor-Danforth - Pape to St George opening late on July 24

94 Wellesley

Buses on the 94 Wellesley route will divert starting at 6 a.m. on June 24 until 3 a.m. on June 27 for The Village Festival - part of Pride Month - which will close Church St. from Gloucester St. to Wood St.

Buses will divert both ways via Jarvis St., Gerrard St. E., and Yonge St. Buses will still enter Wellesley Station during the diversion.
