TTC track work on Line 2 this weekend

Surface routes diverting for events

This weekend, August 13-14, there will be no subway service between St George and Pape stations as TTC crews replace beams on the Prince Edward (Bloor) Viaduct and  complete other work on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth . Frequent shuttle buses will operate throughout the weekend, stopping only at subway stations along the route.

Wheel-Trans buses will be available between St. George and Pape stations upon request. Customers can speak with any TTC staff member to request the service.

Chester Station will be closed for the weekend, with all other stations open for fare purchases.

As PRESTO is not yet available on all shuttle buses, customers are advised to carry their Metropass, tokens, tickets or cash for fare payment.

Regular subway service resumes Mon., Aug. 15 at 6 a.m.

The next scheduled subway closures are:

  • Line 1 Yonge-University - Lawrence to Bloor-Yonge - Aug. 27-28
  • Line 2- Pape to St. George - Sept. 3-5
  • Line 1- Wilson to Downsview - September 10-11

Maintaining and modernizing transit infrastructure is critical to ensuring the TTC remains a safe and reliable transit system for its 1.8 million daily riders. The TTC thanks its customers, Toronto residents and businesses, and the public for their patience and understanding.
