TTC track work on portion of Line 1 on Saturday

This Sat., Nov. 14, there will be no subway service on a portion of Line 1 between St George and St Clair West stations only as the TTC conducts rail replacement.

Maintaining subway infrastructure in a state-of-good-repair is critical to ensuring a safe, reliable transit system. While the TTC does much of its maintenance work on the subway at the conclusion of service each night, it will continue to require weekend closures to complete improvements to infrastructure and signals, such as automatic train control.  See below for a list of scheduled closures for the remainder of 2015.

Frequent shuttle buses will operate between St George and St Clair West stations. Wheel-Trans buses will be available to accommodate customers who need them. Customers can speak with any uniformed TTC employee at any station to make use of this service.

All stations will be open for customers to purchase fares.

Regular subway service resumes on Sun., Nov. 15 at 9 a.m., in time for customers to take transit to Sunday’s Santa Claus Parade.
