TTC unveils commemorative plaque, 2014 World Pride Passes

The Toronto Transit Commission today was joined by TTC Chair Maria Augimeri, TTC Chief Customer Officer Chris Upfold, Toronto Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam and Pride Toronto Executive Director Kevin Beaulieu to unveil a commemorative plaque that will be permanently displayed near the entrance of Wellesley Station, as part of TTC's celebration of World Pride 2014.

TTC is also featuring a special World Pride bus that is operating on the 94 Wellesley and will be part of this year's Pride parade on Sunday, June 29. As always, TTC staff and family will be part of the celebration.

To make travel easier for tourists and residents, the TTC has produced a special World Pride TTC event Family/Group Weekend Pass for $22 and individual Weekly Pass for $39.25. The Family/Group Weekend Pass will provide unlimited travel on June 28 and 29 for a group of up to six people, maximum four children under 19. The two individual Weekly Passes provide unlimited travel for an individual customer, from June 16 - 22 and from June 23 - 29. Passes go on sale today and can be purchased at any TTC collector booth or authorized fare media seller.

Free commuter parking on weekends and holidays is available at stations with commuter parking lots -- park your car and ride the subway. For more information on passes and TTC commuter parking lots visit ttc.ca.

The TTC is a proud partner with Pride Toronto and encourages you to Ride with Pride at World Pride 2014 Toronto.
