TTC to close portion of Bloor-Danforth subway for planned weekend track work

The Toronto Transit Commission will be conducting ongoing, planned track work at Jane Station on Saturday, February 9 and Sunday, February 10.

The nature of the work is a full replacement of the crossover track, as the stone, steel and track ties have reached the end of their service life. This work will require the TTC to close the Bloor-Danforth line from Keele Station to Kipling Station.

A frequent shuttle bus service will operate between Keele and Kipling stations.  The shuttle buses will stop inside Keele, Islington and Kipling stations, but will stop on the street outside High Park, Runnymede, Jane, Old Mill and Royal York stations.

A Wheel-Trans bus will be stationed at Dundas West Station to assist customers who need to travel to Keele Station or beyond. Customers can speak with any uniformed TTC employee for assistance.

Normal subway service will resume on Monday, February 11 at 6 a.m.
