TTC to close portion of Bloor-Danforth subway for weekend track work

The Toronto Transit Commission will be conducting track work at Jane Station starting at 11.59 p.m. on Friday, October 26 and continuing Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28.

The nature of the work is a full replacement of the cross-over track, as the stone, steel and track ties have reached the end of their service life.

In order to undertake this work, the TTC will close the Bloor-Danforth line from Keele Station to Kipling Station during this period.

A frequent shuttle bus service will operate between Keele and Kipling stations.  The shuttle buses will stop inside Keele Station, Islington and Kipling stations, and will stop on the street outside High Park Station, Runnymede Station, Jane Station, Old Mill Station and Royal York Station.

With Keele Station not accessible, a Wheel-Trans vehicle will be stationed at Dundas West Station.

Normal subway service will resume on Monday, October 29 at 6 a.m.
