Making the TTC accessible for everyone

TTC has made significant progress since the 1990s towards making public transit more accessible for everyone, and is committed to further accessibility improvements in the coming year.

Today, the TTC’s bus and streetcar fleet is entirely wheelchair and scooter friendly, as are all routes. The new streetcars are accessible with no internal steps, larger, air-conditioned and have priority seating at every door. The entire subway train fleet is accessible, and more than half of all Subway stations are now wheelchair and scooter friendly. Transit vehicles include next stop and route announcement features, providing accessible information for all customers.
