What we are doing and why
On September 11, 2023, the City of Toronto and the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) began working on the following infrastructure upgrades in the area of Dufferin Street and Springhurst Avenue:
Replacement of the water main and City-owned portion of substandard water services on Springhurst Avenue (east of Dufferin Street to Fort Rouille Street) and Fort Rouille Street.
Renewal of aging streetcar tracks on Springhurst Avenue from Dufferin Street to Fort Rouille Street and the Dufferin Gate Loop curves.
To date, both the water main replacement and streetcar track renewal work (including overhead/commissioning) has been completed.
