College Street and Bay Street Track Renewal and Overhead Upgrades

What we are doing and why

Construction at College and Bay began in early March and was completed ahead of schedule. The intersection reopened to traffic on Friday, March 27.

The construction project will resume after the FIFA World Cup 2026™.

TTC Service impacts (effective May 11, 2026)

506/306 Carlton streetcars and 19 Bay buses have fully resumed regular service through the College/Bay intersection. Service has been fully restored ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026™.

Please note that additional diversions will be required when work resumes on College/Carlton for Phases 2 and 3 after FIFA World Cup 2026™. TTC will communicate these changes at a later date.
