Buying fares and passes
Helpful information about buying fares and monthly passes
Buying a PRESTO card
- Buy a PRESTO card for $4 at a Fare Vending Machine at a station, at Shoppers Drug Mart or Loblaws location, or online at prestocard.ca.
Loading a PRESTO card in a mobile wallet
- Load a PRESTO card for free to your mobile wallet (13 years of age or older)
PRESTO cards are automatically set to deduct an adult fare. If you require a card to deduct a youth or senior fare, or want to load a TTC Post-Secondary Monthly Pass on a card, you must bring your card and government identification, or your TTC Post-Secondary Student Photo ID Card to Shoppers Drug Mart or Loblaws to have your card reset.
Loading a PRESTO card with funds or a monthly pass
- You can load funds on your PRESTO card to pay-as-you-go, or load a monthly pass for unlimited travel each month.
- You can do this at a Self-Serve Machine at a station, or at a Shoppers Drug Mart or Loblaws.
- Monthly passes are available the last 12 days of the month until eight days after the start of a month.
Note: PRESTO cards must be reset to a youth, post-secondary, or senior fare type before a youth, post-secondary or senior monthly pass can be loaded on the card. Take government issued identification or your TTC Post-Secondary Student Photo ID to a Shoppers Drug Mart or Loblaws to have the card reset.
Purchasing a PRESTO Ticket
- Buy a One-Ride, Two-Ride or Day Pass PRESTO Ticket from a Fare Vending Machine in a station, or at a Shoppers Drug Mart or Loblaws.
