Important changes to 503/303 Kingston Road, 504/304 King and 508 Lake Shore streetcar service

Updated 504/304 King streetcar routing effective Friday, May 16, 2025

To ensure the TTC provides the best service possible during the track and water main replacement work at King and Church streets, the TTC is making an adjustment to the 504/304 King streetcar diversionary routing.

Effective Friday, May 16, 504/304 King streetcars will now divert both ways along Shaw Street instead of Spadina Avenue.

Here are additional service adjustments that are in effect until early September 2025: 503/303 Kingston Road, and 508 Lake Shore streetcars will divert around the area of King and Church streets as follows:

Westbound streetcars will divert on Queen Street East, south on Church Street, west on Richmond Street, north on York Street, west on Queen Street West and south on Spadina Avenue.

Eastbound streetcars will divert on Spadina Avenue, east on Queen Street West, south on York Street, east on Adelaide Street, north on Church Street and east on Queen Street East.

504/304 King streetcars will divert around the area of King and Church streets as follows:

Westbound streetcars will divert on Queen Street East, south on Church Street, west on Richmond Street, north on York Street, west on Queen Street West and south on Shaw Street.

Eastbound streetcars will divert on Shaw Street, east on Queen Street West, south on York Street, east on Adelaide Street, north on Church Street and east on Queen Street East.

Customers can remain on a 504/304 King streetcar which will divert as noted above or can board a 304D, 504C or 504D King replacement bus.

504C King replacement buses will operate between King and Bathurst streets and Front and Cherry streets. Please note: The Distillery Loop will be closed to all streetcars and buses until further notice. 304D and 504D King replacement buses will operate between King and Bathurst streets and Gerrard Street and Broadview Avenue.

Helpful tips:

504 King streetcars will only operate between Broadview Station and Dundas West Station. Customers travelling to and from Dufferin Gate Loop can board a 503 Kingston Road streetcar inside Dufferin Gate Loop which will travel along King Street West, past its usual end point of Spadina Avenue and King Street, to Dufferin Gate Loop
