Extra service for Eras Tour and Taylgate ’24


The TTC is excited and ready to take people to and from the Taylor Swift Eras Tour concerts and Taylgate’24 with ease. Leave the car at home, or park in a TTC parking lot, and let us do the driving! You can also consider using bike share as part of your trip to and from the TTC, or to the Rogers Centre. There’s even a special Swiftie Pass.

Staff are happy to help on route! Don't hesitate to ask for assistance on a vehicle, at a station, or phone. Look for these signs for help at Union Station.

  • Connecting to the TTC from the airport

    The 900 Airport Express route provides all-day service between Toronto Pearson Airport and Kipling Station on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth. It costs the same to travel from the airport on the TTC as it does to travel around the city!

  • Paying a fare and Proof-of-Payment

    Quick tips:

    • Credit/debit cards are the fastest way to pay. However, each person over the age of 12 will be required to tap a separate card to pay a fare.
    • A PRESTO card can be loaded to a mobile device for free, or a physical card can be purchased for $4 from a Fare Vending Machine at a subway station. The cards can be loaded with money for pay-as-you-go travel.

    Note: PRESTO cards need to be set to deduct a youth or senior fare. This can be done at Shoppers Drug Mart locations, or other PRESTO Customer Service Outlet. Government issued ID required.

    **Each person is required to have their own PRESTO Ticket.

    Children 12 years of age and younger travel for free! Youths ages 16-19 are required to carry ID (High School Photo Identification or Driver’s license) while travelling on the TTC.

    Proof-of-Payment

    A tapped PRESTO, credit/debit, or mobile device is a customer’s Proof-of-Payment. If paying by cash, ask the Operator on a bus for a paper transfer, or get one from the transfer machine at a station or on a streetcar. Carry these to show a Fare Inspector if asked.

    Two-hour transfer

    A two-hour transfer is available to use when tapping PRESTO, credit/debit or a mobile device. Does not apply to customers paying with cash. Must be within two-hours of the first tap. 

    One Fare Program

    The One Fare Program allows customers paying with a PRESTO card, PRESTO in mobile wallet, debit or credit card, to transfer for free between the TTC, Brampton Transit, Durham Region Transit, MiWay, York Region Transit and GO Transit.

  • Extra service for the concerts and Taylgate’24

    Extra service will be added on Line 1 Yonge-University and Line 2 Bloor-Danforth, as well as on the following surface routes, on the days of the concerts and Taylgate events only:

    Red with white number 19 19 Bay
    Red with white number 509 509 Harbourfront (full streetcar service resuming on this route from November 1-24, 2024)
    510D 510D Spadina
    Red with white number 511 511 Bathurst (511 Bathurst streetcars will operate to Union Station from November 14-16. Starting, November 17, these streetcars will operate to Union daily until January 5, 2025).

    The extra service on these surface routes won’t appear on transit apps, however vehicles will arrive regularly from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and again from 11 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. on the days of the concerts.

    Wheel-Trans will continue to operate regular service, however dedicated Wheel-Trans vehicles will be on stand-by in various locations downtown between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. on concert days only, to assist customers getting to and from the concerts and Taylgate24. Wheel-Trans customers can speak to TTC staff for assistance. 

     

  • Service after the concerts and Taylgate’24

    Consider using these options instead of going to St Andrew or Union stations, take a:

    Red with white number 509 509 Harbourfront streetcar west from Queens Quay and Rees Street, or Queens Quay and Spadina Avenue, to Exhibition Loop, and connect to the Lakeshore West GO line from there. Please note: Queens Quay station will be closed as of 10 p.m. on Nov 14-16 and 21-23 and all 509 Harbourfront streetcars will by-pass the station.

    510D 510D Spadina/Swiftbus to Spadina Station for Line 1 Yonge-University and Line 2 Bloor-Danforth. These buses will begin operating at approximately 11 p.m. each night of the concert. The buses will be available at Spadina Avenue and Bremner Boulevard, just west of the Rogers Centre. Look for the 510D/Swiftbus sign on the front of the bus. The buses will travel northbound and will stop and drop people off at King, Queen, Dundas and College streets, on the way to Spadina Station. There will also be regular 510D Spadina buses operating between Spadina Station and Exhibition Loop during this time.

    Red with white number 511 511 Bathurst streetcar to Bathurst Station for Line 2 Bloor-Danforth. From the Rogers Centre, walk south on Rees Street to Queens Quay and board a 511 Bathurst streetcar at Queens Quay and Rees Street.  

    Red with white number 19 19 Bay/Swiftbus to Bay Station on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth. These buses will begin operating at approximately 11 p.m. each night of the concert. The buses will be available at the northeast side of Front Street West and Bay Street, outside of Union Station. Look for the 19Bay/Swiftbus sign on the front of the bus. The buses will travel northbound on Bay Street and will stop and drop people off at King, Queen, Dundas and College streets on the way to Bay Station. There will also be regular 19 Bay buses operating between Union Station and Bay Station during this time.  

    Red lozenge with white number 998 998 King/Swiftcar to St Andrew and King stations on Line 1 Yonge-University. These streetcars begin operating at approximately 11 p.m. each night of the concert. The streetcars will be available at Spadina Avenue and Bremner Boulevard. Look for the 998 King/Swiftcar sign on the front of the streetcar. The streetcars will travel northbound on Spadina Avenue to King Street. They will turn east on King Street and will stop at St Andrew and King stations. After stopping at King Station they will continue on as a regular 504 King streetcar to Broadview Station, on Line 2 Bloor-Danforth. There will also be regular 504 King streetcars operating along King Street, stopping at St Andrew and Union stations.  

    TTC staff will be directing people to these routes as they leave the Rogers Centre, Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC), or arrive at Union Station. Look for the TTC logo signs for directions to the boarding locations.

    Wheel-Trans will continue to operate regular service, however dedicated Wheel-Trans vehicles will be on stand-by in various locations downtown between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. on concert days only, to assist customers getting to and from the concerts and Taylgate24. Wheel-Trans customers can speak to TTC staff for assistance.

    Access to Union Station after the concert will be from the stairs on Front Street, or through the accessible entrance (moat entrance) off Front Street West and Bay Street, if elevator access is required.

    To keep the station safe and so everyone has a bit of room to keep dancing, staff may limit the number of people that can enter the station at a time, which may result in a line up to get in.  Please be patient, keep singing and dancing and we will quickly and efficiently get everyone in, in the safest way possible. 

  • Subway stations near the venues

    St Andrew and Union stations, on Line 1 Yonge-University, are the closest stations to the Rogers Centre or MTCC. They are about a 10-15 minute walk from these venues.

    Other stations on Line 1 that are within walking distance are:

  • Alternate routes downtown

    Use the following routes to get to the Rogers Centre or MTCC, instead of travelling to St Andrew or Union stations:

    From Line 1 travel to:

    • King or Queen stations and walk south on Yonge Street to Front Street West. Turn right and continue to the MTCC or Rogers Centre.
    • Osgoode Station and walk south down University Avenue to Front Street West. Turn right and continue to the MTCC, or Rogers Centre.

    From Line 2 travel to:

  • Parking at Wilson Station

    TTC Wilson Station Main Lot (north) will be permanently closed starting on November 18, 2024, to accommodate a housing development. Commuter parking is available at the Wilson Transit Road Lot (capacity is 72 parking spaces), Sheppard West (632 parking spaces), Pioneer Village (1881 parking spaces), Finch West (347 parking spaces), and Highway 407 (550 parking spaces) stations.

    The existing north and east pedestrian access between Wilson Heights Boulevard and the Station will be closed during construction. Pedestrians can use the access from Wilson Avenue or other access points to the Station.

    This permanent closure is required to accommodate a Housing Now development. For more information, visit our customer notice page.

  • Safety features on the TTC

    Download the SafeTTC app for free from the Apple App or Google Play stores and use it to report an incident, or Dial 911 on a cell phone at any time.

    For help at a station or on a vehicle, do the following:

    At a station:

    • Speak to the station Collector, Customer Service Agent or a TTC employee.

    • Use the Passenger Assistance Intercom at the entrance or at the Designated Waiting Area on the platform.

    On a bus/streetcar:

    • Speak to the Operator on a bus.

    • Push the intercom to speak the Operator on a streetcar.

    On a subway:

    • In the event of a medical emergency that requires police, fire or ambulance, push the yellow strip above the window on a subway train. The train will travel into the station and an Operator will come to assist.

    TTC staff, including Special Constables, will be available throughout the system and in key locations in the downtown core to assist at any time.

  • Planning a trip on the TTC

    Planning a trip on the TTC is easy! Just do the following:

    • Call the TTC Customer Information team at 416-393-4636 and a representative would be happy to help! The team is available from 8 a.m. until 1 a.m., Nov. 14-16 and 21-23.
    • Use the Trip Planner on ttc.ca.
    • Download a transit app and from the Apple App or Google Play stores.
  • Lost Articles

    The TTC Lost Articles Office is located at Bay Station on Line 2. Call 416-393-4100 to enquire about a lost item. 

     
  • TTC Shop

    Purchase a limited edition Riding Through The City (Eras Edition) poster or a TTC Eras Tour T-Shirt online from the TTC Shop.
