Priority Seating on TTC vehicles

What is Priority Seating?

In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act 2005 (AODA), TTC provides Priority Seating on all of its vehicles, designated for use by persons with disabilities. TTC By-law No. 1 requires customers to obey signs posted by the TTC, including Priority Seating signs on TTC vehicles. Customers who do not comply with Priority Seating signs may be subject to a fine of $235 plus applicable charges under this By-law.

How to identify priority seating

Seats with blue fabric are designated priority seats for people with disabilities. We encourage customer co-operation in giving up these seat for seniors and pregnant women, as well.

Decals indicate where Priority Seating is located, generally near the entrance of TTC vehicles.
