Warden Station

The TTC’s Easier Access Program is making subway stations accessible by 2025. Construction at Warden Station started in July, 2022.

Accessibility enhancements at Warden are scheduled for completion in 2024 and a full station redevelopment completed by 2026. In addition to the Easier Access enhancements, which will systematically renovate Warden Station for universal accessibility and enhanced pedestrian access, Warden Station is slated to be completely rebuilt, with an entirely new bus terminal featuring plenty of natural light and more accessible platforms, and elevators.

Warden Station Easier Access improvements will include:

  • Two new elevators which will connect customers between the Passenger Pick Up/Drop Off area (PPUDO), concourse level and subway platform at the station.
  • Improved signage and wayfinding.
  • A station redevelopment which will involve constructing a temporary accessible bus terminal and a new permanent accessible bus terminal once completed.

The project is phased, as the station will remain in operation for the duration of construction. A preliminary schedule aims to start work on the first phase in 2022 with completion planned for 2026.
