Transit Operator Recruitment
Step 1
Application and screening

- Your application and assessment results will be reviewed by a member of the Talent Management Team and if selected you will be contacted by email
Step 2
Cognitive Ability Assessment Testing
- Selected applicants will be invited to complete a mandatory online cognitive ability assessment.
- This assessment provides us with insight to a candidate’s ability to learn, adapt, solve problems, understand relevant instructions, apply knowledge to new situations and benefit from job specific training
- Successful candidates will proceed to interview stage
Step 3
Interview
- You will be invited to an interview, conducted by a panel of Talent Management staff where you will be asked questions to demonstrate skills, knowledge and abilities required for the Transit Operator position
Step 4
Conditional Offer & Pre-Employment Conditions
If successful, a Conditional Offer of Employment will be presented to you with the following additional requirements:
- Pre-Placement Medical and Drug Testing Appointment
- Police Vulnerable Sector Criminal Background Check
- Employment Verification
- Education Verification (Review our Educational Requirements)
- Driver’s Abstract check (Review our Abstract Requirements)
Step 5
Documentation and Training
Once your conditions have been cleared its time to be on-boarded! This process is the last step to prepare you for a training start date. Once your start date has been established, you will be contacted by Talent Management staff with a training date (your first day of employment) and an assigned work location two weeks prior to your start date. Please be advised that your start date and placement into a training class may experience a delay due to operational changes. Our Talent Management team will closely monitor availability and will keep you updated on the next open spot.
