Fare payment
TTC fares and fare policy apply on Line 5. Fare payment is similar to the subway system, with only off-board fare payment devices (no tapping onboard vehicles) and all door boarding.
Customers can pay their fare with PRESTO card or Ticket, debit or credit card, mobile wallet or cash.
Underground stations are equipped with Fare Vending Machines where customers can use debit, credit or cash to purchase PRESTO cards or Tickets, load/reload PRESTO cards with funds or a monthly pass and check PRESTO card balances.
Customers tap at the fare gates to get proof-of-payment or deposit exact cash in the fare box and get a paper transfer from the red Transfers machine as proof-of-payment.
