Portion of TTC Line 1 to close early next Monday-Thursday

The portion of Line 1 between Wilson and Sheppard West stations will close at 11 p.m. next Monday through Thursday (July 15-18) for track maintenance.

Both stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes. TTC staff will be on hand to help direct customers to the appropriate shuttle locations, which will vary from station to station.

Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station. Customers can speak with a TTC staff member for more information about service frequency. Please note that Wilson Station is not yet accessible.

While the TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and maintenance upgrades.

This weekend

The TTC is reminding customers that this weekend, Sat., July 13 and Sun. July 14, the portion of Line 1 between Lawrence and St Clair stations will be closed to allow Metrolinx crews to continue work on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.

Shuttle buses will run frequently along Yonge St., stopping at each station along the route. At Lawrence, Eglinton and Davisville stations, customers can board and disembark on Yonge St. At St Clair Station, customers can board inside the bus bay and disembark on St. Clair Ave. E., outside the station. In addition to shuttles, the 97 Yonge bus and the University side of Line 1 are available as alternatives during the closure.

All stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes.

Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station throughout the weekend. As Lawrence Station is not yet accessible, customers requiring an accessible connection should use York Mills Station instead.

Line 2

Also, this Sunday only, the portion of Line 2 between St George and Broadview stations will be closed until noon for maintenance on the Prince Edward (Bloor) Viaduct. Shuttle buses will run, stopping at each station along the route.

Sherbourne and Bay stations will be closed until noon, but all other stations will remain open for fare sales and transfers to surface routes.

Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station. Customers can speak with a TTC staff member for more information about service frequency.

The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service and about alternative routes. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on Twitter or sign up for eAlerts.
