TTC holds next town hall March 29

The Toronto Transit Commission will hold its next town hall on Thursday, March 29 from 6:30-9 p.m. at York University (Keele Campus) in the Accolade West Building.

In 2010, the TTC Customer Service Advisory Panel considered various actions the TTC should take to improve customer service. The panel made 78 recommendations, including holding regular public forums to hear from customers about their TTC experiences. The TTC’s first town hall was held last November at Toronto City Hall. More than 250 people attended that meeting and more than 1,000 comments and questions came in via Twitter.

The first half hour of the next town hall, from 6:30-7 p.m., will feature information areas at the entrance to Room 109 of the Accolade West Building where the public can get more information about specific TTC initiatives and operational matters, as well as speak one-on-one with TTC staff.

The public forum will start promptly at 7 p.m. People can ask questions, make comments or offer suggestions for improvement at the TTC. Senior TTC staff will be there to listen and address issues as they arise, hearing from as many members of the public as possible in the two hours allotted.

As seating is limited, admittance is first-come, first-seated. The TTC will be following up on questions and comments via Twitter –please use the hashtag #TTCtownhall. ASL interpretation and closed-captioning will also be available at the meeting.
