Buses to replace TTC’s 509 Harbourfront streetcar during Queens Quay revitalization

Due to track work associated with Waterfront Toronto’s project to rebuild Queens Quay West, the 509 Harbourfront streetcar will be replaced by buses from July 29 to the spring of 2013.

The work involves a total revitalization of Queens Quay, including utility upgrades, new storm, sanitary and watermain infrastructure, and the rebuilding of the TTC right-of-way streetcar tracks and overhead power system.

Learn more about the diversion and construction by watching this “explainer video” on the TTC’s YouTube channel  - "509 Harbourfront streetcar line using buses until 2013".
