Project Update
Service Update - Effective July 8, 2024
Effective July 8, 2024, Lawrence Station’s main entrances at Yonge Street and Lawrence Avenue will be closed until mid-2025 for the next phase of Easier Access work to install elevators at the southwest main entrance. Access to and from the station will only be available at the secondary north entrances on Yonge Street at Ranleigh Avenue and Bedford Park Avenue. The on-going bus terminal closure will remain during this time. For more information on the closure of the south main entrances, click here. Lawrence Station Easier Access Enhancements:
The TTC’s Easier Access Program is making subway stations accessible. Construction at Lawrence Station is scheduled for completion by mid-2026.
Lawrence Station will be receiving two new elevators to improve customer safety and convenience. The work to support this upgrade includes hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, structural and architectural components, along with the detailed project coordination aspects related to renovations.
