Overview

The Line 2 East Extension project (formerly know as the Scarborough Subway Extension) is a 6.2 kilometre extension of Line 2 Bloor-Danforth from Kennedy Station northeast to the future Scarborough Centre Station. The project is required to replace the aging Line 3 Scarborough. The extension will create a seamless journey for customers by eliminating the transfer at Kennedy Station.

The Line 2 East Extension tunnel will run east from Kennedy Station, under Eglinton Avenue East, then north under Danforth Road and McCowan Road ending at the future Scarborough Centre Station.
