Temporary Closure - Bedford Park Avenue and Ranleigh Avenue entrance/exits

Effective October 17, 2022

What we are doing and why:

TTC’s Easier Access Program will make subway stations accessible to everyone. Lawrence Station will be receiving two new elevators to improve customer safety and convenience. The work to support this upgrade includes hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, structural and architectural components, along with the detailed project coordination aspects related to renovations.

This October, the TTC will coordinate the completion of interior electrical upgrades and general maintenance work with asbestos removal. This work requires the closure of the Bedford Park Avenue and Ranleigh Avenue entrance/exits. Both southern main entrances/exits of Lawrence Station will remain open during this time.

Closure of Bedford Park Avenue and Ranleigh Avenue entrance/exists beginning October 17, 2022 for 25 days.

The work will include the following activities:

  •       Customer Service staff assigned to both northern exists all day for the first week directing customers and distributing flyers providing notice of closure.

Large signage will be posted throughout Lawrence Station advising of this closure and providing directions to the alternate entrance/exits.

You may experience noise, vibration and dust related to the work. Efforts will be made to keep noise levels to a minimum.

There is no major impact to traffic expected during the project. There are no weekend station closures or early station closures are expected during this work.
