902markham rd express–Route change and service reliability adjustment

Service will be extended to Steeles Avenue East to provide expanded express service to employment areas along the Markham Road corridor. Service will be further adjusted to operate via Tapscott Road, Passmore Avenue, and Morningside Avenue. As a result of this adjustment, this route will no longer service stops located on Progress Avenue at Sheppard Ave East, and stops located on Progress Avenue at Milner Avenue. Customers can access this route at nearby stops located on Markham Road at Sheppard Avenue East, and on Milner Avenue at Markham Road. 

Service will be adjusted Monday to Friday in the morning peak period as travel demand to Centennial College Progress Campus is expected to be reduced during summer months. Three trips that previously departed from Warden Station at 7:35 a.m., 7:45 a.m., and 7:55 a.m. will be removed from service.

Service will be further adjusted to ensure that capacity is properly allocated between express and local service on the Markham Road corridor. This will result in longer wait times between buses during some time periods at local service stops.

In addition, schedules will be changed in all time periods to improve service reliability.
