UPDATE: TTC service impacts during G20 Summit

As previously announced, the TTC will be operating regularly scheduled service during the G20 Summit, with only minor surface route diversions planned.

The subway will operate as usual – all stations and all lines will be open.

Effective immediately, the 29B and D branches of the Dufferin bus will not be entering Exhibition Place. Buses will turn back just outside the Dufferin Gate entrance to Exhibition Place. This diversion also impacts the 316 and 329 Blue Night routes. There is no planned change to service for the 509 or 511 streetcar routes that use Exhibition Place.

Other planned impacts to service include the 6 Bay, 72A Pape, and 320 Yonge bus routes, which include diversions in the downtown core from June 25-27. The 97B Yonge bus and 503 streetcar routes will be on diversion on June 25 only, as those two routes do not operate on weekends. As well, both the 509 and 510 streetcars will not be stopping at Queens Quay station; it will be closed June 25-27.

TTC service on other downtown routes, particularly streetcar routes, may be delayed or temporarily diverted during the G20. Any change to service – related or unrelated to the summit – will be communicated immediately by the TTC to customers using its normal communications protocols.

Anyone interested in receiving up-to-the-minute information via email about service impacts can subscribe to TTC e-alerts. The public can also follow the TTC on Twitter: www.twitter.com/TTCnotices.

Any unplanned interruptions to TTC service will be communicated immediately to TTC customers and media. The TTC will follow the advice of police and alter these plans should security concerns dictate a change to service and routing.
